Product Overview

The Asus PRIME Z890M-PLUS WIFI is a micro ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset for LGA 1851 Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. It has four DDR5 slots running dual-channel, three M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0, two PCIe 4.0), six SATA ports and a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5 Gb Ethernet are built in.

This board suits a compact Intel Core Ultra gaming or general-purpose build that still needs plenty of storage and fast connectivity. A 20 Gbit/s USB-C port on the rear, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs (usable with a CPU that has integrated graphics) and seven 4-pin PWM fan headers cover most case setups. Two SATA cables, a Wi-Fi antenna and M.2 screw packs are included. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
