The Gigabyte Z890M Gaming X is a micro ATX motherboard built around the Intel Z890 chipset for LGA 1851 Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. It has four DDR5 slots supporting up to 256 GB and speeds up to 8800 MHz (O.C.), three M.2 slots, a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, 2.5 Gb Ethernet and 7.1-channel audio, which is a lot of connectivity for a compact board.
This board suits a compact or mid-size gaming PC built around an unlocked Arrow Lake CPU such as a Core Ultra 5, 7 or 9 K-series chip. Storage is covered by four SATA III ports and three M.2 slots, with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 support. It has HDMI and two DisplayPort outputs for CPUs with integrated graphics, but no onboard Wi-Fi. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
