The GIGABYTE Z790 EAGLE is an ATX motherboard for LGA 1700 processors, built on the Intel Z790 chipset and supporting 12th, 13th and 14th generation Intel Core CPUs. It has four DDR5 DIMM slots in dual-channel for up to 256 GB, with supported speeds up to DDR5-7600 (overclocked), plus a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the graphics card and three M.2 slots, all PCIe 4.0 according to Icecat.

This board suits a mid-range to high-end Intel gaming or general-purpose desktop that needs fast DDR5, several NVMe drives and wired networking. It offers 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port on the rear panel, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.2 outputs (usable only with a CPU with integrated graphics), 4 SATA III ports and 6 PWM fan headers. Note that Wi-Fi is not included, and a BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
