Product Overview

The Asus P13R-E is an ATX server motherboard built on the Intel C266 chipset for LGA 1700, with support for Intel Xeon E-2400 and Xeon 6300 processors as well as Pentium CPUs. What sets it apart from ordinary desktop boards is the combination of four DDR5 ECC UDIMM slots (up to 128 GB), dual Intel I210-AT2 Gigabit LAN ports and an onboard ASMB11-iKVM module for KVM-over-IP management.

This board is aimed at small and medium-sized business servers and entry-level bare-metal cloud systems. Storage is well covered with eight SATA III ports and two M.2 22110 slots, while expansion comes from one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, one PCIe 5.0 x8 slot and two PCIe 4.0 slots. A dedicated management LAN port, six 4-pin PWM fan headers, a TPM header and an Aspeed AST2600 graphics chip with VGA output complete a practical server-oriented package. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
