Product Overview
The Kingston DC600M 480 GB is a fourth-generation data centre SATA SSD that uses 3D TLC NAND and is aimed at mixed-use server workloads. What sets it apart from consumer SATA drives is hardware-based power loss protection using hold-up capacitors, plus a 876 TB endurance rating and a 2,000,000-hour MTBF. Sequential speeds reach 560 MB/s read and 470 MB/s write.
Kingston designed the DC600M for low latency and consistent IO, with random performance of 94,000 IOPS read and 41,000 IOPS write at 4 KB and listed latencies of 200 µs read and 30 µs write. It is suited to rackmount servers, RAID setups and workstations that need a dependable SATA drive with data protection during unexpected power loss. It supports hot-plug and up to 64 namespaces, and comes in a standard 2.5-inch, 7 mm case.
