The Patriot Viper VP4000 Mini 1 TB is a PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD in the compact M.2 2230 form factor, rated at up to 5,000 MB/s read and 3,500 MB/s write. At just 30 x 22 mm and 3 g, it is far smaller than a standard M.2 2280 drive, which is what sets it apart from most 1 TB NVMe SSDs.

The small size makes it a good fit for handheld gaming PCs, and Patriot lists it as compatible with the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG ALLY. It supports Host Memory Buffer, SmartECC and ONFi 4.2 flash at up to 1,600 MT/s, and uses a graphene heat shield with an integrated thermal sensor for throttling. Rated endurance is 250 TBW, and TRIM is supported.
