Product Overview

The Asus ROG Thor 1000W Platinum III is a 1000 W fully modular ATX power supply with 80 PLUS Platinum and Cybenetics Platinum certification. It is fully compliant with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1, and has a native 12V-2×6 connector, so a high-end graphics card can be connected without an adapter. It also uses a GaN MOSFET for efficiency, GPU-First voltage sensing with a patented stabiliser, and a Turbo Mode for extra cooling.

This PSU suits high-end gaming builds with power-hungry graphics cards. It includes the ROG Equalizer, a patented 12V-2×6 cable designed to reduce heat stress on the cable and connector. The magnetically attached OLED display can be swapped to either side, so it works with fan-up and fan-down installations. With four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, seven SATA connectors and AURA Sync RGB lighting, it has the connectivity for a fully loaded system. Active PFC, a 100-240 V input and a full set of protections are included.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. The computer came very well packed however, the cooler fan was loose inside the case. I managed to fix watching some youtube videos, not a big deal. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
