Product Overview

The MSI MPG Z890 Carbon WiFi is an ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset for LGA 1851 Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. It has four DDR5 slots for up to 256 GB of memory, with support for speeds up to 9200 MT/s (O.C.), and five M.2 slots, one of them PCIe 5.0. Networking includes 5 GbE and 2.5 GbE LAN, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, plus two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

This board suits a high-end Intel Arrow Lake gaming or content-creation build that needs plenty of fast storage and connectivity. It offers three PCIe x16 slots (two PCIe 5.0, one PCIe 4.0), four SATA ports, 10 USB-A and one USB-C port at the rear, 7.1-channel audio from a Realtek ALC1220P codec, and Mystic Light RGB. An EZ-WiFi antenna, SATA cables and EZ M.2 Clips II are included. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
