Product Overview

The GIGABYTE B840M DS3H is a micro-ATX motherboard built around the AMD B840 chipset for Socket AM5. It supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors and offers four DDR5 slots with memory speeds up to DDR5-8200 (overclocked) and a maximum of 256 GB. Storage comes from two M.2 slots and four SATA III ports, while Realtek 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet handles wired networking.

This board suits compact AM5 gaming and everyday PC builds where a full-size ATX board is not needed. Video outputs (HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4) work only with a CPU that has integrated graphics, while a discrete card goes in the PCIe 4.0 x16 slot. Four PWM fan headers and ARGB and RGB headers cover cooling and lighting. Newer processors may require a BIOS update. There is no onboard Wi-Fi.
