The Asus TUF Gaming B850M-Plus WiFi is a micro-ATX motherboard for Socket AM5 built on the AMD B850 chipset. It supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors, including X3D models, and offers four DDR5 slots, three M.2 slots with a PCIe 5.0 slot for the first drive, and a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for the graphics card.

With Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.5 Gb Ethernet on board, it suits a compact gaming build without needing extra network cards. Rear I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port (20 Gbit/s), HDMI and DisplayPort, while internally you get four SATA ports and six 4-pin PWM fan headers. Asus notes that a BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
