Product Overview

The Asus TUF Gaming B850-E WiFi is an ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5, built on the AMD B850 chipset. It supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors and has four DDR5 slots for up to 256 GB of memory, with speeds up to DDR5-8000+ (O.C.). The first of its three M.2 slots runs at PCIe 5.0 and takes drives up to 22110 length, and the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot is ready for a current graphics card.

Connectivity is strong for the price tier: 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 are onboard, along with a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port and a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20 Gbit/s) header for a front-panel port. Four SATA ports and three M.2 slots suit builds with plenty of storage, and seven 4-pin PWM fan headers plus three addressable RGB headers cover cooling and lighting. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
