Product Overview

The Asus PRIME B650M-R is a micro-ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5 processors, built on the AMD B650 chipset. It has two DDR5 DIMM slots in dual-channel mode for up to 96 GB of memory, with supported speeds from DDR5-4800 up to DDR5-7200 (overclocked). Storage is covered by two M.2 slots, one of them with PCIe 5.0 support, plus four SATA III ports. Networking comes from Realtek 2.5 Gb Ethernet.

This board suits compact and mid-range AM5 builds based on Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors, including X3D models. It offers one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for a graphics card, one PCIe 4.0 x1 slot, an HDMI output for CPUs with integrated graphics, and Realtek 7.1 Surround Sound audio.
