Product Overview

The ASRock B850M-X WiFi R2.0 is a Micro-ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5, built on the AMD B850 chipset. It has two DDR5 slots supporting up to 128 GB at speeds up to DDR5-8200+, two M.2 sockets and four SATA ports. Networking is covered by 2.5 Gigabit LAN (Dragon RTL8125BG) plus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth, so a PC built on it needs no extra network cards.

This board suits compact AM5 builds around Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors, including X3D models. Video outputs (HDMI and DisplayPort) work only with a CPU that has integrated graphics. It offers one RGB header, three addressable RGB headers and six 4-pin PWM fan headers, with USB-C and USB-A ports on the rear panel. The manufacturer notes that a BIOS update may be required to support the newest processors.

Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
