The AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D is a 12-core, 24-thread desktop processor for the AM5 socket, built on the Zen 5 architecture (Granite Ridge) in a 4 nm process. It runs at a 4.4 GHz base clock with a boost of up to 5.5 GHz, and its 3D V-Cache technology gives it 128 MB of L3 cache, which AMD says lowers latency and adds gaming performance.

With 12 cores and 24 threads plus an unlocked multiplier, this CPU suits gaming PCs that also handle heavier multi-threaded tasks. It supports PCIe 5.0, dual-channel memory with ECC support and AMD EXPO technology, and includes AMD Radeon integrated graphics. Note that this is the boxed version without a cooler, so you will need to buy a compatible AM5 cooler separately. TDP is rated at 120 W.
