The Samsung 990 EVO Plus 4 TB NVMe SSD is an internal M.2 2280 drive that supports both PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 5.0 x2 interfaces. It delivers sequential read speeds of up to 7,250 MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,300 MB/s, with random performance of up to 1,050,000 read and 1,400,000 write IOPS. It uses V-NAND TLC and is rated for 2,400 TBW.

This drive suits gaming PCs and general builds that need a large amount of fast storage in a single M.2 slot. Samsung says its nickel-coated controller improves power efficiency by 73% compared to the 990 EVO, with 5.5 W power consumption under read. It supports 256-bit AES hardware encryption, S.M.A.R.T., TRIM and DevSlp, and works with Samsung Magician software for drive health monitoring and firmware updates.
