The Kioxia Exceria 480 GB SATA SSD is a 2.5-inch internal drive that uses BiCS FLASH TLC memory and the full bandwidth of the SATA 6 Gb/s interface, with sequential speeds of up to 550 MB/s read and 540 MB/s write. It is rated for 120 TBW and 1.5 million hours MTBF, and manages up to 82,000 read and 88,000 write IOPS.

The Exceria is an easy, affordable way to replace a hard drive in an older desktop or laptop, as it connects to the SATA ports already in the system. Compared with a mechanical drive it is completely silent, more robust and uses less power (1.6 W active, 0.1 W idle), which helps battery life in notebooks. Programs start and respond noticeably faster, even on older machines. It supports TRIM and idle time garbage collection, and weighs only 46 g.
