The Kingston IronKey Vault Privacy 80 is a 960 GB external SSD that encrypts everything in hardware and is unlocked from a built-in colour touchscreen rather than software. It uses FIPS 197 certified XTS-AES 256-bit encryption with a Common Criteria EAL5+ certified secure microprocessor, and it is OS-independent, so no drivers or apps are needed. Brute-force protection crypto-erases the drive after 15 consecutive wrong Admin and User password entries by default.

This drive suits anyone who carries sensitive files: small businesses, client documents, or content creators moving high-resolution photos and video. It supports separate Admin and User passwords in PIN or passphrase mode, with configurable password rules, and the Admin can restore User access if a password is forgotten. Two read-only modes help guard against malware. It connects over USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 and works with Windows, macOS and Linux. A neoprene travel pouch, a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable are included.
