The GigaByte AORUS Gen5 14000 is a 1 TB M.2 2280 SSD that connects over PCIe 5.0 x4 and supports NVMe 2.0. It is rated for sequential reads of up to 13,600 MB/s and writes of up to 10,200 MB/s, which is roughly double the throughput of a PCIe 4.0 x4 drive. It uses the Phison PS5026-E26 controller, 232-layer 3D TLC NAND and a 2000 MB DDR cache.

This drive suits gaming and enthusiast PCs built on a motherboard with a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot. It is sold as a bare drive without a heatsink, so GigaByte advises pairing it with a motherboard that has a built-in M.2 heatsink to avoid thermal throttling. With a 700 TBW endurance rating and a 1,600,000-hour MTBF, it is aimed at users who write a lot of data, such as gamers and rendering workloads. GIGABYTE Control Center software is supported.
