The SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD V2 2 TB is a pocket-sized external drive that connects over USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) and delivers read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s. What sets it apart from ordinary portable drives is the combination of those speeds with a ruggedised silicone shell, IP55 water and dust protection and drop resistance from up to 2 metres.
With 2 TB of capacity, it suits anyone who needs to carry large files between machines, such as high-resolution photos and videos, game libraries or project backups. Built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption with password protection keeps private data secure if the drive is lost. A carabiner hook lets you clip it to a belt or bag loop, and both a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A adapter are included for connecting to newer and older ports.
