Product Overview

The Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield 2 TB is a rugged external drive that pairs USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s) and PCIe NVMe with sequential speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s read and 1,000 MB/s write. What sets it apart from ordinary portable SSDs is the elastomer housing with Dynamic Thermal Guard, which keeps heat under control to hold performance steady during large transfers. It is rated IP65 against dust and water and survives drops from up to 3 metres.

At just 98 g and 59 x 88 x 13 mm, the T7 Shield fits easily into a bag or pocket, and the rubberised grip helps stop it slipping out of your hand. It suits creators, gamers and anyone who carries large files between a Mac, PC, Android device or games console. Optional password protection with AES 256-bit hardware encryption secures your data, and both USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to USB-A cables are included in the box.
