Product Overview

The Samsung Portable SSD T9 1 TB is a compact external drive that connects over USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 (20 Gbit/s) and uses the NVMe protocol. Samsung quotes sequential read and write speeds of up to 2,000 MB/s, enough to move a 2 GB file in about a second. Dynamic Thermal Guard is built in to limit slowdowns caused by overheating.

At just 122 g with a non-slip dotted finish, the T9 is easy to carry for backups, game libraries or large project files. It is rated to survive drops from up to 3 metres and can be locked with an optional AES 256-bit hardware-encrypted password. It works with Windows, macOS, Android phones and tablets and gaming consoles. Both a USB-C to C and a USB-C to A cable are included in the box.

Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
