Product Overview

The Samsung Portable SSD T7 1 TB is an external NVMe SSD that connects over USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbit/s). It delivers sequential read speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s, which Samsung describes as nearly double the performance of the Portable SSD T5. The drive has no moving parts and sits in a shock-resistant aluminium unibody case that survives drops from up to two metres.

At just 58 g and 85 x 57 x 8 mm, the T7 fits into almost any pocket, making it a practical choice for carrying files between a desktop, laptop, smartphone, tablet, smart TV or games console. It ships with both USB Type-C to C and Type-C to A cables. Optional AES 256-bit hardware encryption with password unlock protects private data, and Samsung’s Dynamic Thermal Guard keeps temperatures under control during heavy transfers. Samsung Magician software handles drive health checks and firmware updates.
