The Asus ROG STRIX 1200W Gold Aura Edition is a 1200 W ATX 3.0 power supply with 80 PLUS Gold certification and fully modular cabling. It delivers its full 1200 W on the +12V rail (100 A) and includes a 16-pin PCIe cable for up to 600 W to PCIe Gen 5.0 graphics cards, plus four 8-pin PCIe connectors. A 135 mm Axial-tech fan with dual ball bearings handles cooling.

With 1200 W of capacity and a native 12+4 pin GPU connector, this unit suits high-end gaming builds with a power-hungry graphics card. The aluminium case acts as a heatsink for the internal transformer, and the fan stops completely at 50% load or below (0dB mode) to keep noise down. Addressable RGB lighting works with Aura Sync, and the full set of protections (OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OTP) is included. The manufacturer backs it with a 10-year warranty.

Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
