Product Overview

The TP-Link Archer T3U Plus is a USB Wi-Fi adapter for PCs and laptops, and it connects to dual-band networks on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. It reaches up to 400 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz and up to 867 Mbit/s on 5 GHz under Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and it supports MU-MIMO with a compatible router. It plugs into a USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) port, and unlike a bare dongle it has an external high-gain antenna.

The adapter suits desktop PCs or laptops that have no built-in Wi-Fi, or whose Wi-Fi is slow or outdated. The antenna rotates and can be adjusted in different directions to improve reception around the home. It is powered over USB, so no separate power supply is needed. It supports WPA2-PSK security and works with Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11. A support CD and a quick installation guide are included in the box.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
