Product Overview

The Asus PRIME Z890-P is an ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z890 chipset for LGA 1851 Core Ultra (Series 2) processors. It has four DDR5 DIMM slots with dual-channel memory, one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and four M.2 slots, including one PCIe 5.0 slot. The Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet are built in, and the power design uses 14(80A) + 1(80A) + 2(80A) + 1(80A) stages.

This board suits a gaming or general-purpose PC built around an unlocked or standard Core Ultra 5, 7 or 9 CPU. Storage is well covered with four M.2 slots plus four SATA III ports, and RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 are supported. Display outputs are HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, usable with a CPU that has integrated graphics. There is no onboard Wi-Fi. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors. Two SATA cables and M.2 mounting screws are included.
