Product Overview

The MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi is an ATX motherboard for Socket AM5 built on the AMD B850 chipset. It supports Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors, offers four DDR5 slots for up to 256 GB of memory (up to DDR5-8200 with overclocking), and includes three M.2 slots, with the first running at PCIe 5.0. Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and 5 Gigabit LAN are included.

This board suits AMD gaming builds that need plenty of storage and fast networking without moving up to a higher chipset. The PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot cover current graphics cards and fast SSDs, while four SATA ports add room for further drives. MSI lists a 12+2+1 Duet Rail power system, an extended heatsink and M.2 Shield Frozr cooling. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
