The Gigabyte X870I AORUS PRO ICE is a white Mini-ITX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5, built on the AMD X870 chipset. Icecat lists an 8+2+1 phase VRM, and the board takes Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors. What sets it apart from most small-form-factor boards is the mix of one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, one PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot, a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, USB4 and Wi-Fi 7 on a 170 x 170 mm board.

This board suits compact all-white gaming and small-form-factor builds on AM5. Two DDR5 slots support up to 128 GB, with overclocked speeds listed up to DDR5-8400. Connectivity includes 2.5 GbE LAN, Bluetooth 5.4 and a Realtek ALC4080 audio codec. The USB4 port can output video via DisplayPort 1.4 at up to 3840×2160@240 Hz. Note that a BIOS update may be needed to support the newest processors.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock. On the next day I had a positive from them and in about a week the card was installed on my pc ! On top of that they work with Humm so I could split the payments.
