The GigaByte X870 GAMING X WIFI7 is an ATX motherboard for AMD Socket AM5, built on the AMD X870 chipset. It stands out with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, two USB4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 and 2.5 GbE LAN, so a lot of current connectivity is on board. Four DDR5 slots take up to 256 GB of memory.

This board suits a Ryzen 7000, 8000 or 9000 build where you want fast storage and modern networking without moving to a more expensive board. Three M.2 slots and four SATA ports give plenty of room for drives, and six 4-pin PWM fan headers plus RGB Fusion headers cover cooling and lighting. Depending on the CPU you pair it with, a BIOS update may be needed to support the newest processors.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
