Product Overview

The GigaByte A520M H ARGB motherboard is a micro ATX board built on the AMD A520 chipset for Socket AM4 processors. It supports Ryzen 3000, 4000 and 5000 series CPUs, has two DDR4 slots for up to 64 GB of dual-channel memory and one M.2 slot that accepts both SATA and PCIe drives. Four SATA III ports cover additional storage, and RAID 0, 1 and 10 are supported.

This board suits a compact, budget-conscious AM4 build around a Ryzen 5000 series processor, with the PCIe 3.0 x16 slot left free for a graphics card. It also has four RGB headers (one RGB and three addressable ARGB) for lighting. Video outputs include HDMI and DVI-D, and work only with a CPU that has integrated graphics. Gigabit LAN is on board, but there is no Wi-Fi. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors, and the Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G are not compatible.
