Product Overview

The ASRock X870 Pro RS ATX motherboard is built on the AMD X870 chipset for Socket AM5 processors. It has four DDR5 slots supporting up to 256 GB, three M.2 slots with the first running at PCIe Gen 5.0, and two USB4 ports that also provide DisplayPort video output. A 2.5 Gb Ethernet port and a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot come as standard.

This board suits AM5 builds around Ryzen 7000, 8000 and 9000 series processors, including X3D models. Storage is covered by four SATA ports with RAID 0, 1 and 10 support, plus the three M.2 slots. For cooling and lighting, it offers six 4-pin PWM fan headers, three addressable RGB headers and one RGB header. Note that a BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
