The Intel Core i7-12700F is a 12th generation Alder Lake desktop processor for the LGA 1700 socket. It combines 8 Performance cores (16 threads) with 4 Efficiency cores (4 threads), giving 12 cores and 20 threads in total, with a boost clock of 4.8 GHz on the Performance cores and 25 MB of L3 cache. The Performance cores handle demanding workloads while the Efficiency cores take over at low load.

This is the boxed version, so an Intel cooler is included, and the 65 W base power rating keeps cooling requirements modest. The F suffix means there is no integrated graphics, so you will need a dedicated graphics card. It supports PCIe 5.0 and 4.0 as well as DDR5 and DDR4 memory, and works with motherboards based on 600 and 700 series chipsets, which suits a gaming or general-purpose PC build.
