Product Overview

The GigaByte TRX50 AERO D is an E-ATX motherboard built on the AMD TRX50 chipset for Socket sTR5 Ryzen Threadripper and Threadripper PRO processors. It offers four DDR5 slots with support for up to 1024 GB of ECC and registered memory, two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots and one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, plus four M.2 slots, three of them PCIe Gen 5.0.

Networking is a strong point, with a Marvell AQtion 10GbE port, a Realtek 2.5GbE port, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3. Storage is covered by eight SATA ports and four M.2 slots with RAID 0, 1 and 10 support, while two USB4 ports sit alongside the rear USB-A connectors. It suits high-end workstation builds that need lots of memory, fast storage and multiple expansion cards. A BIOS update may be needed for the newest processors.
