Product Overview

The Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX is a 40 x 40 x 20 mm case fan that runs at up to 5,000 RPM and, with the supplied Low-Noise Adapter, can be set to three speeds: 5,000, 4,400 or 3,700 RPM. It uses Flow Acceleration Channels and Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, and is rated at 8.5 to 14.9 dB with an airflow of 6.9 to 9.4 m³/h.

This small fan suits builds and cooling setups with limited space where a 40 mm fan is required. The FLX version lets you trade airflow for lower noise by choosing a speed setting, from 3,700 RPM for near-silent running up to 5,000 RPM for maximum output. It connects through a 3-pin header, runs on 12 V with a power consumption of 0.6 W, and uses an SSO2 bearing. It weighs 177 g.
