The Kingston DC600M 3.84 TB SATA SSD is a fourth-generation data centre drive built on 3D TLC NAND and aimed at mixed-use server workloads. It stands out from consumer SATA drives with hardware-based power loss protection using hold-up capacitors, a 7,008 TB TBW rating and a 2,000,000-hour MTBF. Sequential speeds reach 560 MB/s read and 530 MB/s write, with 94,000 random read and 59,000 random write IOPS.

This 2.5″ drive suits rackmount servers, RAID arrays, home labs and workstations that need consistent latency and IOPS rather than peak consumer benchmark figures. The power loss capacitors help protect data during unexpected power failure and let the drive reinitialise cleanly at the next power-up. It supports hot-plug and namespace management (up to 64 namespaces), measures just 7 mm thick and uses a standard SATA 6 Gb/s connection.
