Product Overview

The Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 Gold 850W is an ATX 3.0 power supply with 80 PLUS Gold certification and a native 12VHPWR (16-pin) PCIe 5.0 connector rated for up to 450W for graphics cards. It delivers 849W on the +12V rail (70.8A) and uses a semi-passive 120 mm fan with a liquid bearing that only spins once the load passes 40%.

With one native 12VHPWR cable, four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors and eight SATA plugs, it suits a modern gaming build with a high-end graphics card and plenty of storage. Cable management keeps the case tidy, and the PSU is quiet in practice: 0 dB(A) at 20% load, 11.6 dB(A) at 50% and 26.2 dB(A) at 100%. It is a black ATX unit supporting 100-240V input and includes a full set of protections (OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OTP).
