The Chieftec VEGA PPG-850-S 850W is an ATX 3.1 power supply with 80 PLUS Gold efficiency and a native 12+4 pin connector for PCIe Gen5 graphics cards. It delivers 850 W in total, with a single +12V rail rated at 70.8 A. Inside, an LLC half-bridge converter with DC-to-DC technology is used to improve efficiency and stability.

This non-modular unit uses extra-long black cables, including a 600 mm 12+4 pin cable and a 650 mm CPU cable, so it suits mainstream gaming builds in larger cases. A single 135 mm fluid dynamic bearing fan balances cooling and noise, with temperature-controlled speed. It offers four 6+2 pin PCIe connectors, six SATA connectors and the full set of protections including OCP, OVP, UVP, OPP, SCP, OTP and SIP.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
