Product Overview

The Asus TUF Gaming 850W Platinum is an 850 W ATX power supply that combines 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency with a GaN MOSFET design, which Asus says brings lower heat generation and faster switching. It meets the ATX 3.1 standard, supports PCIe 5.1 graphics cards and includes a native 12V-2×6 (12+4 pin) connector, plus 70.83 A on the single +12V rail.

With three 6+2 pin PCIe connectors alongside the 12V-2×6 cable, it suits high-end gaming and video editing builds with a power-hungry graphics card. The fully modular cabling keeps the case tidy, and the etched cables are flexible to route. Asus fits TUF 5K black metallic capacitors and a 135 mm ball-bearing fan, and rates the unit at 120,000 hours MTBF. It is a standard ATX size at 150 x 86 x 150 mm and weighs 1.48 kg.
