Product Overview

The Rode NT5-MP matched pair is a set of two NT5 small-diaphragm condenser microphones, supplied as a certified matched pair for stereo recording. Each microphone uses a 1/2-inch gold-sputtered condenser capsule with a cardioid pattern, a 20 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response and a sensitivity of 13.9 mV/Pa. The cardioid pattern is described as exceptionally accurate, with a wide frequency response.

The NT5 is aimed at demanding recording work, from acoustic instruments, drums and cymbals to live performances and on-location dialogue, with a soft, balanced sound and very low self-noise. It suits studio and hi-fi use as a wired stand microphone with a single XLR output. Each mic is compact at 118 mm tall and 101 g. An interchangeable omnidirectional capsule (NT45-O) is available separately.
