Product Overview

The SilverStone AP181 case fan is a 180 mm, 3-pin fan in black, designed to focus its airflow rather than spread it out. The blade shape and a special grille concentrate the air into a directed stream that SilverStone says reaches 1.2 to 3 metres. At 700 RPM it moves 135.9 m³/h, and at its full 1,200 RPM it moves 220.9 m³/h.

Because the airflow is focused with strong positive pressure, the fan can be aimed past obstacles inside the case or straight at individual components. It suits builders who want to direct cool air at a specific part of the system. A switch lets you choose between two fan speeds, and the 3-pin connector with tacho signal makes it easy to monitor. It uses a sleeve bearing and is screw-mounted, with a 12 V supply and 5.4 W power consumption.
