Product Overview

The Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM is a 40 x 40 x 20 mm fan built for very quiet operation, and this is how it differs from most small fans. It runs from 1,200 up to 5,000 RPM under 4-pin PWM control, with noise levels of 12.2 to 14.9 dB and airflow of 8.3 to 9.4 m³/h. It uses Noctua’s A-series design with Flow Acceleration Channels and the AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame.

With a 4-pin PWM connector and 12 V supply, the NF-A4x20 PWM suits small-form-factor builds, compact heatsinks and any spot where a 40 mm fan is needed. Its NE-FD1 IC handles fully automatic speed control, and the included Low-Noise Adapter lowers the maximum PWM speed from 5,000 to 4,400 RPM. The fan uses an SSO2 reference-class bearing and draws just 0.6 W.
