The Fractal Design Silent Series R3 80 mm is a compact 80 mm case fan that turns at up to 1,600 RPM while staying at just 18.1 dB(A). It moves 34.3 m³/h (20.2 cfm) of air at up to 0.99 mm/H2O static pressure, and uses a rifle bearing, which Fractal Design describes as very durable. It draws only 0.5 W.

With its 3-pin connector and 6 to 12 V operating range, this fan suits builds where noise matters more than raw airflow, such as quiet small-form-factor or HTPC-style systems with 80 mm fan mounts. It is screw-mounted, measures 80 x 80 x 25 mm, weighs 108 g and comes with a 35 cm cable.
