Product Overview

The Asus PRIME Z790-P is an ATX motherboard built on the Intel Z790 chipset for LGA 1700 processors. It has four DDR5 DIMM slots in dual-channel for up to 256 GB of memory per the Wave data, with support for overclocked kits up to DDR5-7000, along with one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, three M.2 slots and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet on the Realtek controller.

This board suits a mid-range to high-end Intel gaming or general-purpose build where you want DDR5, fast NVMe storage and plenty of connectivity. Display outputs (HDMI and DisplayPort) are only usable with a CPU that has integrated graphics. It also offers four SATA ports with RAID 0/1/5/10, AURA Sync RGB headers and six 4-pin PWM fan headers. A BIOS update may be required to support the newest processors.
