Product Overview

The Asus PRIME A620M-K is a Micro-ATX motherboard built on the AMD A620 chipset with a Socket AM5 CPU socket. It takes two DDR5 DIMMs in dual-channel for up to 96 GB of memory, with supported speeds from 4800 up to 6400 MHz in the Icecat data (the Wave listing adds overclocked profiles up to 7000). A PCIe 4.0 x16 slot handles the graphics card, and the single M.2 slot is a PCIe-interface slot for an SSD.

This board suits a compact, budget-minded Ryzen 7000, 8000 or 9000 build, including X3D models, according to the supported CPU list. Video outputs (HDMI and VGA) only work with a CPU that has integrated graphics. You also get four SATA 6 Gbps ports, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the rear, Realtek Gigabit Ethernet, Realtek 7.1 audio and Aura Sync RGB headers. There is no Wi-Fi. Two SATA cables and an M.2 screw set are included.
