Product Overview

The Iiyama ProLite T1721MSC-B2 is a 17″ touchscreen monitor with a 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) TN panel in a 5:4 format. It uses projected capacitive touch with 10 simultaneous touchpoints and a 1.5 mm glass overlay with 7H surface hardness, so it resists scratches and knocks. The front is rated IPX3 against water and dust, and touch works with a finger, a stylus or latex gloves.

Iiyama positions this monitor for business use, such as retail counters and interactive point-of-sale setups. It has HDMI and VGA inputs, a USB touch connection, a 3.5 mm audio output and two built-in 2 W speakers. The stand tilts from 10° forward to 70° back, and the 100 x 100 mm VESA mount allows wall or arm fitting. The box includes a power adapter, USB cable and HDMI cable, and a lockable OSD keeps settings from being changed.

Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
