Product Overview

The Scythe Kotetsu 4 is a single tower CPU air cooler with a 120 mm fan and four heatpipe connections. It stands only 154 mm tall in total, so it fits standard PC cases, and it covers a wide range of sockets: Intel LGA 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1200, 1700 and 1851, plus AMD AM4 and AM5.

The heatsink is not centred over the base plate but offset slightly to the rear and side. This asymmetric design leaves the memory slots fully usable and gives large GPU coolers extra room, which suits compact and mid-range builds. The fan uses a fluid dynamic bearing and runs from 350 to 2,000 RPM, with noise from 3 dB up to 26.88 dB. A revised Hyper Precision Mounting System with an updated backplate and rubber/plastic spacers handles installation on current AMD and Intel sockets.

All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
