Product Overview
The Asus USB-BE92 Nano Wi-Fi 7 adapter is a tiny USB Wi-Fi adapter that adds Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) to a laptop or desktop PC. It is tri-band, covering 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz, with a maximum data transfer rate of 2882 Mbit/s and 4096-QAM modulation. At 31.5 x 8.5 mm and just 6 g, it barely sticks out of the USB port.
This adapter suits anyone who wants to upgrade an older PC or laptop to Wi-Fi 7 without opening the case or fitting an internal card. It is plug and play, so no extra drivers are needed, and it is powered over USB. It supports Windows 10 x64 and Windows 11, and also works with older Wi-Fi standards from 802.11a to Wi-Fi 6. Security covers WPA3-Personal, WPA2-Personal and AES. Note that it connects via USB 2.0, and Asus states real-world throughput and range will vary.
