Product Overview

The DeLOCK PCIe x1 Intel i210 SFP network card adds one SFP slot to a desktop PC, so it can connect to a network over fibre optic cable instead of copper. It is built around the Intel i210 chipset, uses a PCI Express x1 (version 2.1) interface and supports LAN speeds of 100 Mbit/s and 1000 Mbit/s.

This card suits builders who need a fibre link to a switch or network, for example in a home lab or a small office setup. Any optional DeLOCK Gigabit SFP module can be used in the slot, but a module is required and is not included, so one needs to be bought separately. All the process of building the config designed for my needs was handled very smoothly and rapidly by Jola. The desktop came with one day of delay due to DHL issues, not their fault. The computer came very well packed however, the cooler fan was loose inside the case. I managed to fix watching some youtube videos, not a big deal. Irish online stores in general have a common practice of selling something they don't have - claiming they do - and then ordering from their source, leading to long shipping times and frustated customers. That was not the case here! I've asked them to let me know when they had the graphics card I wanted back in stock as it was out of stock.
